6821501 JumpStart Installation Freezes When Using a Serial Console

Issue:

When performing a Solaris JumpStart Installation using the serial console

(/SP/console), the installation might freeze during package installation.

When this occurs, the installation cannot be completed and the host must

be rebooted.

Affected Hardware, Operating Systems, and Software:

• Sun Blade X6270 Server Module

• Solaris 10 10/08, Solaris 10 05/09, OpenSolaris 2008.11, and OpenSolaris

2009.06

• Supplemental Software Releases 1.0, 1.2, and 2.0

Fix Available:

This issue is fixed in Supplemental Software Release 1.4, 2.0.1, and 2.1.
