6757722 LSI Utility Drive Enumeration Is Misleading

Issue:

Drive enumeration is misleading. Slot enumeration should be 0,1,2,3, or 1,2,3,4.

LSI utility shows drives in slots 4 and 5, which are the top two drives (2 and 3).

Affected Operating Systems and Software:

• All supported operating systems

• Supplemental Software Software Releases 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.1

Workaround:

There is no workaround. Check for the availability of a patch.

Power Management Budget Is Not Supported on RHEL 4.7, 5.3, or 5.4

Issue:

Multiple issues occur if you try to use the Power Budget feature of Power

Management on servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4.7, 5.3, or

5.4. These issues can lead to configured power budgets being exceeded or lower

than expected CPU performance.

Affected Operating Systems and Software:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4.7, 5.3, 5.4

• ILOM 3.0.6

• Supplemental Release 2.1

Workaround:

Do not use the Power Budget feature when running Red Hat Enterprise Linux

(RHEL) 4.7, 5.3, or 5.4.
