6808230 Storage Drive LEDs Are Incorrectly Illuminated When Using ICH10

Onboard HBA With SATA Drives Without a REM

Issue:

On a server without a RAID Expansion Module (REM), the storage drive

Fault and OK-to-Remove LEDs are incorrectly illuminated on storage drive

slots 1 through 3.

Affected Operating Systems and Software:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.3

• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11

• Supplemental Software Releases 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.0

Fix Available:

A fix to the driver has been back ported to each OS and is now available.

Install the latest errata kernel which contains an updated AHCI driver.

SLES11:

A kernel update for SLE 11 has been released that fixes this bug. The kernel

version is 2.6.27.23-0.1.1 and is available from the Novell download site.

RHEL5.3:

Updated kernel packages that fix several security issues and several bugs

are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. The kernel version is
